How to Perform Menu Settings
To use the function menus, first set the printer offline then use the arrow
buttons to display the menu settings.
Setting the Printer Online and Offline
Online
When it is set online, the printer can receive and process a print job sent from
the computer. In order to print, the printer must be set online. After the
printer is switched on, the printer automatically goes online if no problems
occur.
Offline
When it is set offline, the printer cannot receive a print job from the
computer; the offline state is for using the operation panel menus. If a
problem is detected, an error message is displayed an the printer is set offline
automatically.
Performing Settings
The example procedure below describes how to select the media type for
Cassette 1.

Press and hold the Power button (e) to switch the printer on.
The printer warms up for a few seconds, “Ready” is displayed, then the
Online lamp lights.

Press the Online button (f). The Online lamp switches off.
The printer is set offline.
