Solution: On the printer operation panel, open the Maint. Menu, and set Cleaning at
ON to Off. (ÆP.4-12)
Problem 3: Printing a color image over a large printing area.
Solution: Printing a photograph or other large image normally consumes a large
amount of ink. This is not abnormal.
Error Messages
GARO Error nnnn
Problem 1: A coded error (where “nnnn” is the number) occurred during print job
processing.
Solution: Press the Online button to set the printer online then try to start the print
job again. However, this may not restore normal printing.
Solution: Switch off the printer, wait a few seconds, then switch the printer on again,
and try to start the print job again.
Solution: If normal printing is not restored after following the procedures above,
note the number of the error and call for service.
Replace x Tank
Problem 1: The ink tank of the displayed color (x = Y, M, C, Bk) has run out.
Solution: Replace the color ink tank with a new one. (ÆP.5-2)
x Ink Tank NG
Problem 1: The installed ink tank does not match the color displayed in the message (x
= Y, M, C, Bk) and cannot be used in this printer, or an empty ink tank was
loaded in the slot.
Solution: Read the message and select the correct color ink tank for replacement.
Make sure that the ink tank is installed correctly. (ÆP.5-2)
No x Ink Tank
Problem 1: The ink tank of the displayed color (x= Y, M, C, Bk) is not installed.
