After your computer restarts, you can install DiskSafe Express.
4.2.3 Installing DiskSafe Express
You must install DiskSafe Express on each computer whose local disks you want to protect.
To install DiskSafe Express:
1. Ensure the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator 2.0 is already installed by following the steps in the
previous section.
2. Insert the Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive.
3. In Windows Explorer, open the “DiskSafeExpress” folder on the installation CD.
Double-click the “DSESetup.exe” file to begin installation of the software.
4. If Microsoft iSCSI Initiator 2.0 is not installed on the computer, the warning message in
Figure 4-2 will be displayed. If this appears, install the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator 2.0 by
following the previous section before proceeding.

5. If Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is already installed, go to the step 11. If this component is
not currently installed, the following prompt appears (Figure 4-3).

6. Click “Yes” to install the .NET Framework 1.1 component. You cannot install DiskSafe
Express without first installing Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.
7. When you click “Yes”, the setup utility for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 starts (Figure
4-4).
