5. Type in “\\MLxxxxxx\PRN1” in the “Type in the port name”
and click on “OK”.
“MLxxxxxx” is the
“Computer Name”
displayed in the “print
menu” of the printer.
· The “Computer name” name
and “Workgroup” name can be
changed using a Web Browser,
Telnet, etc.
· The Master Browser function
manages the machine
information which exists within
the same Workgroup, and replies
to summary requests from other
Workgroups.
· The Master Browser function of
this Fast EtherNet operates only
if the Workgroup name is
“PrintServer”.
· The Master Browser function
cannot manage anything other
than this Fast EtherNet. If the
“PrintServer” name is put into
another Workgroup, the Fast
EtherNet will not be able to find
it in the network.
· A maximum of 8 EtherNet
This completes the printer driver setup.
Printing may now be done from the application software.
