J15 (FAN) and J17 (OEM FAN)

Jumper configuration to be performed by
qualified service personnel only.
There are two separate fan connectors that are located
at J15 and J17. Fan connector J15 is used when a SAF-
TE card is present in the DEU. When the fans are
plugged into J15, the SAF-TE card controls and
monitors fan speed.
Fan connector J17 is used in OEM applications when
there is no SAF-TE card installed. Fan connector J17
supplies each fan with +12 volts for full speed
operation.
