Removal (Fig. 6)
1. Park machine on a level surface, stop engine and re-
move key from the ignition switch. Remove high tension
lead from the spark plug and position the lead away from
the spark plug. Chock wheels to prevent machine from
moving during brake cable repair.
2. Disconnect brake cable from brake lever (Fig. 6):
A. Loosen jam nut that secures cable to handle as-
sembly.
B. Remove hair pin that retains cable end to brake
lever.
C. Slide cable end from brake lever.
3. Disconnect brake cable from brake lever on trans-
axle (Fig. 7):
A. Loosen jam nuts that secure cable to chassis
bracket.
B. Disconnect cable spring from brake lever.
4. Note routing of brake cable. Remove cable from ma-
chine.
Installation (Fig. 6)
1. Position brake cable to machine.
