Chapter 1: Introduction
Use these procedures to install Avaya Communication Manager and configure a new Avaya
S8700-series Server and the associated components in a fiber-connected (fiber-PNC) or an
IP-connected (IP-PNC) port network configuration.
To configure the server, use the Avaya Installation Wizard. To configure gateways and other
hardware components, use the following two administration interfaces:
● The Maintenance Web Interface
● The command line interface, either directly or through Secure Shell (SSH), Telnet, or a
terminal emulation program such as Avaya Native Configuration Manager.
