Network Discovery
Assign a system name, contact, and location
“System name” is the name of the network or part of the network that
Network Discovery is currently managing. The system name is displayed in
the Toolbar banner.
“System contact” is the Network Discovery Administrator.
“System location” is the physical location of the Peregrine appliance.
These are standard SNMP entries; assign them according to your corporate
policy.
To assign a system name, contact and location
1 Click Administration > Appliance management > Appliance system
variables.
2 Enter the system name.
The system name can be a maximum of 250 characters long (including
spaces)
3 Enter the system contact.
4 Enter the system location.
5 Click Change.
Note: The new system name does not appear in Toolbar banner until you close
and reopen the Toolbar.
