The parameters are described as follows:

Interface –
The WAN interface to be tested.
♦
Phone Number –
The phone number that will be dialed by the WAN Interface. Please ensure that a modem
answers the phone on the other end.
♦
Baud Rate –
The rate of data transmission. The answering modem must be capable of operating at the baud
rate defined here.
♦
Connection Test –
Press <Enter> to begin the test. The router will dial the phone number defined above, try to
establish a valid link with the answering WAN device and hang up.
♦
Dial Out
– Press <Enter> to begin the test. The router will dial the phone number above and negotiate a
connection with the answering device.
♦
Hang up
– Press <Enter> to hang up after Dialing Out.
IP Ping Test
This test makes sure there is an IP network connection to a particular IP address.
