1. Lower the output tray at the front of the printer. Then lift up
the printer cover.
2. Loosen the transportation screw by turning its handle
counterclockwise, as shown below. Then lift it off the
carriage. Save the screw so you can reinstall it if you
transport your printer later. (See Chapter 6 for more
information on transporting the printer.)
3. Close the printer cover.
