8.3.4 Global Properties Menu
Configures SCSI BOIS operation during POST.
Select this menu from the header of the [Main] menu.

Pause When Boot Alert
Displayed
Yes (Fixed parameter) When a hard disk failure occurs during POST and
the logical drive becomes critical, the startup will
be paused. Use this configuration by setting Yes.
Note:
When this configuration is set No, the
following failure may occur. While using the
server without replacing a hard disk and
restarting the system after a hard disk failed,
if the second hard disk failed, the first failed
hard disk may startup depending on the fail
mode. This may result in the system starting
up with old data and losing the new data.
Boot Information Display
Mode
Verbose (Fixed parameter) Sets the amount of host adapter or SCSI device
information to be displayed in the POST window.
Negotiate with devices Supported (Fixed
parameter)
Sets the SCSI negotiation method.
Video Mode Color (at the time of
purchase)
Monochrome
Sets whether or not to display information on the
SCSI Setup Utility in color or monochrome during
POST.
