Cleaning methods
Depending on the samples or reagents that come
into contact with the fluid path, you may need to
vary your cleaning methods accordingly. Use the
following cleaning protocols as references and make
any changes to them as required for the samples and
reagents being pumped for your application.
Proteins and peptides - Follow this procedure if
the fluid path is in contact with proteins and
peptides:
1 Prime the fluid path using a weak detergent
solution.
2 Pause the priming sequence.
3 After 30 minutes, resume priming the fluid path
using distilled or deionized water to pump the
remaining detergent from the tubing into a waste
container. Prime the fluid path a minimum of 10
cycles with distilled or deionized water.
4 When you’re satisfied that the entire fluid path
has been flushed with water, end the priming
sequence.
