3. Connect two 75 ohm BNC cables to the connectors marked DS3 In
and DS3 Out, as shown below.
4. Connect an RJ-45 cable to the Ethernet port, as shown below.
NOTE
If you are connecting the MIX 56 to an Ethernet Hub, use a “straight”
Ethernet cable. If you are connecting directly to a Network Management
System (NMS) PC, use a “crossover” Ethernet cable.
Configure the network port as half duplex to match the MIX 56 Ethernet
port.
5. Connect external alarms to the Critical, Major, and Minor alarm
contacts by pressing and holding the spring clip, inserting the wire,
and then releasing the spring clip.
