In addition to a telephone number, the following Dial
Modifiers may be used with the dial command:
P (Pulse) — used with a dial command to indicate a
voice call. Must be the first character in the dial string or
the stored telephone number.
T (Tone) — used with the dial command to indicate a
data call. Must be the first character in the dial string or
the stored telephone number. A data call will be dialed if
neither the P or T dial modifier is used.
, (Comma) — may be used to provide a dialing pause
for second dial tone. For voice calls, the pause interval
is controlled by the setting of S-register S8. For data
calls, the delay is controlled by the PBX.
; (Semicolon) — used to delimit a dial command from
other commands that follow it on the same command
line. The semicolon dial modifier causes the 8400B Plus

is dialed.
