Step 4 To return to Global Configuration Mode, type exit and press Enter.
The SCE 1000(config)# prompt appears.
Follow the next procedure to configure auto-negotiation for the second GBE port interface
To configure speed and duplex for the second GBE port (network side) interface:
Step 1 At the SCE 1000(config)# prompt, to enter the second GBE port interface, type interface
GigabitEthernet 0/2, and press Enter.
The SCE 1000(config if)# prompt appears.
Step 2 Type auto-negotiate and press Enter.
The SCE 1000(config if)# prompt appears.
Step 3 To return to Global Configuration Mode, type exit and press Enter.
The SCE 1000(config)# prompt appears.
Step 4 To exit Global Configuration Mode, type exit and press Enter.
The SCE 1000# prompt appears.
Note
Auto-negotiation must be disabled when the SCE 1000 is deployed via an external optical splitter (i.e.
receive-only topology).
Configure GigabitEthernet Auto-Negotiation
By default, the SCE 1000 GBE line interface ports are configured with auto-negotiation disabled.

If you change any parameters, you must save the new configuration settings.
