Paper-related troubleshooting
The paper slips or is torn during initialization
The paper is crumpled during initialization
Note:
If the paper is jammed or torn, see the following section to remove it.

Are you using the recommended
paper?
Use the recommended paper.
For details of the recommended paper, contact your local Epson
customer support.
Is the loading position of the paper
correct?
Set the paper correctly.

Is the roll paper set correctly? Set the roll paper correctly.

Are there any foreign materials such
as paper attached to the
pressurizing roller?
Clean the pressurizing roller.

Is the printer being used in an
environment other than the one
specified, such as in direct sunlight?
Only use the printer in an environment that is specified for use.
Are you using folded, torn or rolled
paper?
Replace the paper.

Does the paper bend? Use the recommended paper. When using paper other than the
dedicated one, set the Paper Suction in the Paper Setup menu.
