DISK DEVICE
FAILURE
alternates with
READY
The EIO hard disk had a critical failure and
can no longer be used.
Turn off the printer.
Remove and reinstall the device.
Turn on the printer.
If the message continues, replace the
disk with a new EIO hard disk.
DISK FILE
OPERATION FAILED
alternates with
READY
The requested operation could not be
performed. You might have attempted an
illegal operation, such as trying to
download a file to a nonexistent directory.
Check the file name and try again.
DISK FILE
SYSTEM IS FULL
alternates with
READY
The disk file system has reached
maximum capacity.
Delete files from the EIO hard disk and
then try again. HP Web Jetadmin can
be used to delete files and fonts. Use
the printer control panel to delete
stored jobs that are no longer needed.
DISK IS
WRITE PROTECTED
alternates with
READY
The disk device is protected, and no new
files can be written to it.
Fonts and forms cannot be stored on
the disk when the disk is write-
protected. Use the Windows-based HP
Web Jetadmin or the Macintosh-based
HP LaserJet Utility to remove the write
protection from the disk.
