Twinax Command Interpreter
To gain access to some features not
available on the AS/400, System 36 or
other twinax host system, a Command
Interpreter has been built into the
Multi–Platform Interface Feature.
By using special control codes, you can
pass the ASCII hexadecimal codes to the
printer that access the features of the
printer. These codes allow you to
transparently pass any character or
sequence of characters to the printer.
These codes are hexadecimal ASCII
commands and must match ones
supported by the printer and MPI ASCII
emulation selected.
The commands are initiated by use of the
logical not (¬) character. You can access
this character by pressing the Shift and 6
keys on your terminal’s keyboard.
