The PNNI dialog box consists of the following fields and buttons:
Node level—the position in the PNNI hierarchy in which this node exists.
This level must be consistent with the other switches in the network.
The range is 1 to 104 bits with a default of 72 bits.
Node ID—the identification number (22 bytes) of the logical node within the
routing domain.
Node ATM address—a 20-byte address. Bay Networks recommends that you
use the default for this value.
Peer group ID—the string of bits (up to 104) used to unambiguously identify
a peer group.
Transit. If you unselect this check box, a call cannot be routed through the
switch.
Config Summary address. This button allows you to configure a summary
address that will be advertised instead of individual addresses. Clicking on the
button opens the PNNI Summary Address dialog box, where you can enter or
edit the summary address and designate interior and/or exterior address
suppression.
