Restricting RIP and SAP Broadcasts to the Local Ring
The filter shown in Figure 6-29
identifies RIP and SAP updates and drops them
before they are propagated into the rest of the network. The filter is applied to the
Centillion 50/100 or the Model 5000BH switch port connecting the local ring.
