Dial Parameter Settings
These functions allow you to control the way your fax
machine dials telephone numbers.
Refer to the Dial Parameter Settings List to determine which
settings you may need to change.
Refer to “Changing Your Dial Parameter Settings” part of this
section to make the change.
Current Dial Parameter Settings
For a list of current Dial Parameter Settings for your machine,
print the Configuration Report.
Refer to “Reports, Configuration Report.”
Dial Parameter Settings List
REDIAL TRIES
This function controls how many times your fax machine
automatically redials a number that is busy or does not
answer.
Available settings are from 0 to 10 tries.
Default: 3 tries.
REDIAL INTERVAL
This function controls how long your fax machine waits
between each automatic redial attempt.
Available settings are from 1 to 6 minutes.
Default: 3 minutes.
DIAL TONE DETECT
This function allows your fax machine to wait for and
detect a dial tone before proceeding with dialing.
Available settings are ON and OFF.
Default: OFF.
