Set Config Command

zoning
Initiates an editing session in which to change switch zoning attributes. The
system displays each parameter one line at a time and prompts you for a value.
For each parameter, enter a new value or press the Enter key to accept the
current value shown in brackets.
Examples The following is an example of the Set Config Port command:
SANbox2 $> admin start
SANbox2 (admin) #> config edit
SANbox2 (admin-config) #> set config port 1
A list of attributes with formatting and current values will follow.
Enter a new value or simply press the ENTER key to accept the default value.
If you wish to terminate this process before reaching the end of the list
press ’q’ or ’Q’ and the ENTER key to do so.

Parameter Description
AutoSave Determines whether zoning changes
will be saved to flash (non-volatile)
memory or to RAM (volatile) in each
switch. The default is On.
Default Determines communication among
ports/devices in the absence of an
active zone set. “All” enables all
ports/devices to communicate with one
another. “None” prohibits
communication among ports/devices.
Merge Mode Enables SANbox2 switch to
interoperate with switches running
non-FC-SW-2 compliant firmware.
