Zoning Configuration
Note the following SANbox2 zoning configuration concepts:
■ Orphan zones are allowed.
■ You can not edit an active zone set.
■ The three types of zones are Soft, VPF, and ACL.
■ Aliases are allowed.
■ The zoning limits for a fabric are:
■ Maximum number of zonesets is 256
■ Maximum number of zones is 256
■ Maximum number of aliases is 256
■ Maximum number of members per zone is 2000
■ Maximum number of members per aliases is 2000
■ Maximum total number of members is 2000
■ The entire zoning database can be saved to either temporary or permanent
memory.
You can set the zoning configuration parameters using SANbox Manager or the
Set Zoning Config command. Refer to ”Using the Zoning Config Window” on
page 3-15 for information about zoning configuration using SANbox Manager.
Refer to ”Set Config Command” on page A-24 for information about the Set
Config command.

■ Auto Save
■ Merge Mode
■ Default Visibility
