Information Checklist
Before starting the IPP installation procedures, make sure that the following items are
available or have been performed.
If problems are encountered during the installation of the machine, refer to the Problem
Solving chapter for assistance.
CAUTION: Do not connect the network cable to the machine until instructed to
do so.

An existing operational TCP/IP network is required. These procedures
are not designed to install a network.

Obtain and record the following information:
• IP address
• Gateway address
• Subnet mask (for IPv4) / Prefix (for IPv6)
• Host name
Refer to the glossary for additional information about the Gateway
Address and Subnet mask, if needed.

Test the machine to make sure that it is installed fully and functioning
correctly.
