Cleaning the Printer

5 Clean the paper discharger.
a Remove the paper discharger by pushing it
to the right and then lifting it up and out of
the transfer unit. (It comes out after the tabs
on the charger have cleared their
retainers.)
b Using a dry cotton cloth, clean any paper
dust and toner buildup from the outside of
the paper discharger.
c Using a dry cotton swab, clean any paper
dust and toner buildup from the interior of
the paper discharger.
d Using a dry cotton swab, clean the paper
discharger wire.
e Reinstall the paper discharger in the transfer unit, and then push it down and
to the left to lock it in place.
6 Clean any paper dust and toner buildup found on the transfer unit itself.
7 Close the printer’s rear cover.
8 Plug in the printer, and turn it on.
