Operational Safety
The Xerox DocuPrint P12 and its supplies were designed and tested to meet strict safety
requirements. These include safety agency examination, approval, and compliance with
established environmental standards.
To ensure the continued safe operation of your Xerox DocuPrint P12, follow these safety
guidelines at all times.
Improper connection of the grounding conductor can result in electrical shock.
Follow warnings and instructions marked on or supplied with the equipment.
Locate the Xerox DocuPrint P12 on a solid support surface (not on plush carpet) that has
adequate strength to support the weight of the unit.
Locate the Xerox DocuPrint P12 in an area that has adequate ventilation and room for
servicing.
Do not locate the Xerox DocuPrint P12 near a radiator or any other heat source.
Do not obstruct ventilation openings. They are provided to prevent overheating.
Do not place or push objects of any kind into the ventilation openings.
Do not attempt any maintenance function that is not specifically described in the Xerox
DocuPrint P12 documentation.
Use materials and supplies specifically designed for your Xerox DocuPrint P12. The use of
unsuitable materials may result in poor performance and possibly a hazardous situation.
Do not remove the covers or guards that are fastened with screws, except to add options.
Do not operate the Xerox DocuPrint P12 if you notice unusual noises or odors. Disconnect
the power cord from the power source receptacle, and contact your Xerox Service
Representative immediately.
