Printer Status Definition/Cause Action
Manual feed Indicates the printer is either waiting for
Load print medium onto the paper to be
fed from the Multi-sheet Bypass Feeder
(MBF), or for the second pass of 2-sided
printing.
MBF, then press the control
panel button for the printer to
start feeding paper from the
MBF.
If you pressed the button
before feeding print medium
into the MBF, the printer will
print with paper fed from a
cassette with matching paper
size.
No paper There are two cases:
1. There is no paper in at least one
cassette and there is no job in the
printer.
2. The selected paper cassette is
empty, but the printer has a print job
to process.
Load paper into the paper
cassette(s) and install it into
the printer. The printer status
turns to Ready.
Load papers with size
corresponding to that of the
print job into the cassette, and
install it into the printer.
Printing resumes.
Alternatively, load papers into
the MBF and press the control
panel button to output the print
job from MBF.
If you press the button, or if
Manual Feed Time-out expires
before loading paper the job
will printed from MBF
automatically.
If, again, there is no paper in
the MBF, press the button and
the print job will be output to a
cassette with matching size.
