FAXING WITH NETCENTRIC
FAXSTORM
Using Internet Faxing with
NetCentric
FaxStorm
Internet Faxing
(For Windows
®
3.1 / 95/98 /NT
®
4.0 Only)
Internet faxing (NetCentric FaxStorm) brings together the power of the
PC and the economy of the Internet. Outgoing faxes are relayed from your
desktop to a network provider’s fax server over an IP connection. From
the server, the fax job is transmitted across the Internet using
sophisticated least-cost-routing algorithms, then delivered to a fax
machine using local phone lines, or to another computer as an E-mail
attachment. Faxes can be sent to a single recipient or to multiple
recipients. NetCentric
FaxStorm tracks your faxes to their destinations,
and informs you of their status. When servers are down due to Internet
outages, NetCentric
FaxStorm re-routes your fax jobs and requests for
account status.
You can access incoming faxes from any web-connected desktop and even
forward them to others directly from the Inbox account.
