Solving High Capacity Feeder Problems
2. Remove any jammed paper from the paper drawer.
3. Remove the paper stack from the paper drawer.
4. Inspect the paper for any obvious signs of damage. If the paper is damaged, replace the entire
stack with new, undamaged paper.
5. While the paper is out of the drawer, inspect the Feed Roll area of the high capacity feeder
and remove any jammed paper from the rolls.
6. Push the paper drawer back into the high capacity feeder, making sure the drawer is properly
closed.
Correcting Miscellaneous High Capacity Feeder Problems
Some high capacity feeder problems may not cause an error message and may not interfere with the
operation of the printer. If you are experiencing one of the problems listed below and there is no
error message shown on the control panel display, refer to the procedures in the following sections
to check the possible causes of the specific problem.
• Inoperative high capacity feeder
• Erratic operation
• Unusual noise
