Vertical white lines
1 Print a few more pages to see if the problem corrects itself.
2 Make sure that media type and quality meet HP specifications.
3 Replace the toner cartridge.
4 If you noticed the lines on a copy output page or on a fax you sent
to a recipient, scan an item and see if similar lines appear on the
scanned image. (If the lines were on the scanned image, make a
copy and check for the lines.) If similar lines appear, see
“Recalibrating the scanner” on page 216.
5 The product’s internal mirror may be contaminated. Contact
Customer Service Center for service. See “HP Customer Care”
on page 251.
White spots on black
1 Print a few more pages to see if the problem corrects itself.
2 Make sure that media type and quality meet HP specifications.
3 Make sure that the environmental specifications for the printer
are maintained.
4 Replace the toner cartridge.
