6. Press ESC to return to the "Available Options" menu.
7. Select "Printers".
8. In "Printers" menu, press INSERT to add a new printer to the list of
printers. Type in any name desired, e.g. 6400p, then press ENTER.
9. Select this newly created printer to bring up the "Printer
printername
Configuration" menu.
10. Select "Printer type:", and then select "Other/Unknown".
11. Select "Print queues assigned:", then press INSERT. From the
"Object, Class" menu, select the previously created print queue to be
associated with this printer.
12. Press ESC, saving changes if asked to, until you return to the
"Available Options" menu.
13. Select "Print Servers" to bring up the "Print Servers" menu.
14. Either select the existing print server name as specified in step 1
above, or press INSERT to create this print server and enter the print
server name as specified in step 1 above then select this new print
server. e.g.: PServer1.
15. In the "Print Server Information" menu, select "Printers".
16. In the "Serviced Printers" menu, press INSERT, then select the
printer name as specified in step 8 above, e.g.: 6400p. In the
"Printers" menu, select this printer.
17. In the "Printer
printername
Configuration" menu, set the "Printer
number:" to match the printer number specified in step 1 above.
18. Press ESC until you return to "Available Options" menu.
19. Load the PSERVER.NLM specified in step 1 above on the file server
which will host this PSERVER, and specify the name of this
PSERVER, e.g.:
load pserver PServer1
20. You may need to power off/on the printer to allow the Ethernet
interface to attach to the PSERVER. Wait about 2 minutes, then
check the PSERVER.NLM screen on the file server to see if the
appropriate printer (e.g.: 6400p) is being serviced. The printer should
be in "Waiting for job" state.
