Print-related Problems

printing after a long time printing (until printhead’s temperature returns normal). This

Make sure that the ribbon is stretched correctly.
•
Does the ribbon need changing? Replace it with a new ribbon if necessary.

Is the ribbon cartridge properly installed? Adjust as necessary.

Characters do not print evenl

or are not uniform in pitch

Examine the paper pathway for dirt or other obstruction that may cause the gap
between print head and platen to vary. Remove the obstruction.
•
Incorrect installation of ribbon box or the ribbon tied.
•
Part of printed text is missing (loss of data)

If you are using serial communication check the buffer control setting in Setup.
