3, Turnaround Polling
During routine transmission, If you select this feature, your terminal WIII automatically poll
the terminal that you are sending to and ask d to send you any documents that It has on
polling standby (see page 8-11 )
You will have to pay line charges for both the transmission and reception of the polled
document However, the overran line charges are less than for the two calls that would
otherwise be needed for this operation
1 Perform the normal transmission operation.
a) Insert the document
b) Select the appropriate resolution and contrast
c) Dial the remote terminal
d) Press the Start key
2 When the Communlcatlng lamp Ilghts on the operation panel, press the Function key
3 As transmission takes place, the RTI or CSI of the remote machine appears In the dis-
play.
4 After transmission IS complete, the display goes blank The machine goes Into the
polling reception mode
5 The machine emits a tone when reception of the document IS complete
