CAUTION. To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larger
telecommunications line cords for the K1297 Protocol Tester. Use only the
telecommunication line cords designed and specified for the K1297.
EMC Compliance was achieved under the following conditions: Shielded cables
on all external I/O ports; front panel screws properly tightened; conductive
chassis rails of the boards connected to chassis ground; cable shields
connected to chassis ground via metal shell connectors bonded to a
conductive module front panel; all peripherals conformed.
For minimum RF emissions, it is essential that the conditions above be
implemented. Failure to do so could compromise the EMC compliance of
the equipment containing the board.
Ferrite sleeves on all headphone or headset cables. The ferrite sleeve with
hinged plastic housing is included in the accessory box, in a plastic bag. It
has to be mounted on the cable near the termination that is connected to
the headphone interface. The cable has to be turnt twice around the ferrite
before closing the ferrite.
