6 Service and supplies
After the installation of your printer, there are a few ongoing tasks
that must be performed. These tasks may include all or some of
the following:
Maintaining an adequate inventory of consumable supplies
Overseeing routine maintenance and meter reporting
Arranging additional operator training
Printing additional documentation
Placing service calls for hardware problems
As the installation coordinator, it is your responsibility to designate
a person or persons to perform these tasks. This chapter
describes these tasks and some of the support services available
to customers. There is also a description of commonly used
consumable supplies and a supplies checklist.
Xerox support services
Many services are provided in support of your printer. This section
contains information on the following services:
Customer Support Center
Customer Education
Supplies Order Service
Prior to installation, your sales representative is available to
answer your questions about products, services, or billing.
However, if you need assistance in resolving application-related
problems or questions, call Customer Support (refer to the
following section of this chapter). Your systems analyst is also
available to assist you with applications development.

The customer support center is available to address your
application problems or to direct you to the appropriate
documentation.
