The print process blocks and the steps performed in them are listed below. Refer to Figure
5-26. Print process diagram to see the placement of the blocks.
● Electrostatic latent image formation block: Forms an electrostatic latent image on the
photosensitive drum.
● Primary charging
● Laser beam exposure
● Developing block: Makes the electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum
visible by applying the toner on top of the image using the contact development method.
● Development
● Transfer block: Transfers a toner image on the photosensitive drum onto paper.
● Primary transfer (The toner images are transferred onto paper in the order yellow
(Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), and black (K) in one rotation of the ITB.)
