The print process blocks and the steps performed in them are listed below. Refer to Figure
5-26. Print process diagram to see the placement of the blocks.
Electrostatic latent image formation block: Forms an electrostatic latent image on the
photosensitive drum.
Primary charging
Laser beam exposure
Developing block: Makes the electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum
visible by applying the toner on top of the image using the contact development method.
Development
Transfer block: Transfers a toner image on the photosensitive drum onto paper.
Primary transfer (The toner images are transferred onto paper in the order yellow
(Y), magenta (M), cyan (C), and black (K) in one rotation of the ITB.)
