Saving the IR File To a PC
AMX advises you create a folder to save your IR Files in and change to that directory in the command
prompt.
Once an IR protocol has been learned for a specific device, it can be saved across the network to a PC
using the tftp command.
To save the IR file;
1. Open a command prompt on the PC and navigate to where the IR files are to be stored.
2. At the command prompt, use the following command;
tftp –i [ip address of hub] get irtable.hub
Where irtable is the user defined name given to the IR File (e.g. dvd).
This file must be in the form iXXXX.hub, where the “i” indicates it is an IR protocol file and the
XXXX is the name, created previously.
3. Upon completion, a successful transfer message is displayed (FIG. 37).
4. If unsuccessful, an error is displayed, e.g. transfer Timeout occurred (FIG. 38). An error caused by a
network communication issue between the TVM-1600 and the users PC may have occurred.
