Saving the IR File to your PC
Once an IR protocol has been learned for a specific port it can simply be copied to a PC, then copied
across the network to other ports using the tftp command.
To save the IR file;
1. Open a command prompt.
2. At the command prompt type the following command;
tftp –i [IP address of hub] get iname.port number
iname is the user-defined name given to this IR device
The port number suffix relates to the port number (e.g. ".001" is for port 1, ".016" for port 16,
where the IR file is stored).
A sample command for an IR device name “iSonyLCD” on port 1 is listed below (FIG. 43).
tftp –i 192.168.1.200 get iSonyLCD.001
3. Upon completion, a successful transfer message is displayed (FIG. 44).

AMX advises you create a folder in which to save your IR Files, and change to that
directory in the command prompt.
When naming an IR file, the file must always start with the letter “i”, to signify that this
is an IR protocol.
