6. Continue entering the serial commands for the functions you want to control on the display device
from the TVM system.
Hexadecimal Control Codes
For example, if the serial code to power off an NEC Plasma (02 03 00 0E) was being learned you would
need to enter the serial string as shown below.
r “<02><03><00><14><13><10>” 12 1
Notice that instead of entering <0E>, the example shows <14>, where 14 is the decimal value equivalent
for the hexadecimal value of 0E (FIG. 52).
All Hexadecimal control codes should be converted to their Decimal equivalent and
placed in brackets.
A Carriage Return and Line Feed were added at the end of the serial string;
<13><10>. An ASCII character table, complete with Hexadecimal and Decimal
codes, can be found in Appendix B – ASCII Control Set section on page 43.
