Using the Options Key
The Options key changes the settings for paper type, brightness and special
copy options for the next fax only. These options will be displayed in the order
of the chart below.
Press Options:

Place the original face down in the ADF.

Press Options.

Press or to select COPY:PAPER TYPE, COPY:BRIGHTNESS, or
COPY:OPTIONS, and press
Set.
If you selected the COPY:PAPER TYPE:

Press or to select the type of paper you are using (PLAIN, INKJET,
GLOSSY, PHOTO or TRANSPRNCY), and press Set.
If you selected INK JET:

Press or to select BROTHER (BP72CL) or OTHER (non-Brother ink
jet) paper type, and press Set.
To select COPY:BRIGHTNESS:

Repeat Step 3.
If you use premium paper, the copy quality will be improved. For best results, we
recommend using Brother special paper.
Brother coated paper is ink jet paper.
Note
If you are using non-Brother ink jet paper or Brother coated paper, select
INK JET.
