The access point serial number label contains the following information:
• Model number, such as AIR-CAP1552E-x-K9.
• Serial number, such as WCN0636279B (11 alphanumeric digits).
• Access point MAC address, for example 68BDABF54600 (12 hexadecimal digits). It is located
under the serial number.
• Cable modem (CM) MAC address for cable configuration, such as 54D46F17377A (12 hexadecimal
digits). The CM MAC address is only available on the access point cable configuration. It is located
to the right of the MAC address.
You need your product serial number when requesting support from the Cisco Technical Assistance
Center.
