3-54 Removal and Replacement Procedures
Power Switch Cable Assembly
The power switch cable assembly can be replaced without removing the power supply. To
remove the power switch cable assembly:
1.
Perform the service preparations shown on page 3-2.
2.
Remove the following components:
❏ Side access panel
❏ Front bezel
❏ CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive (if installed)
3.
Disconnect the power switch cable from the system board.
4.
Remove the screws that keep the power switch cable assembly in place.
5.
Remove the crown from the power switch cable assembly.
6.
Gently slide the cable through the CD-ROM drive bay opening.
7.
Remove the power switch cable assembly from the chassis.

To replace the power switch cable assembly, reverse the above procedure.
