30. (from step 29)
Do any RAID-5 arrays have Unsynced Parity Strips or Unbuilt Data Strips?
NO Go to step 31.
YES The rebuilding operation is running or has stopped before completion.
a. Note the number of unsynced parity strips and unbuilt data strips.
b. Press the Cancel key to leave the status display.
c. Wait for a few moments, then reselect the status display.
d. Again note the number of unsynced parity strips and unbuilt data
strips. If the numbers are lower than those that you noted earlier, the
rebuilding operation is running. Wait for the rebuilding operation to
complete before you continue. If the numbers have not changed, the
rebuilding operation has stopped.
e. If this is the first time you have been through this step while solving
this particular problem, return to step 1 on page 454. Otherwise:
1) Delete the array (see Deleting an SSA RAID Arrayon page 70).
2) Run the Certify service aid (see Certify Disk Service Aidon
page 391) to each member disk drive.
3) Recreate the array (see Adding an SSA RAID Arrayon page 60).
4) Go to MAP 2410: SSA Repair Verificationon page 475 to verify
the repair.
31. (from step 30)
Have disk drives been going into the rejected state with no other failure
indications?
NO Go to step 32.
YES This problem can occur if an array is accessed before all the member
disk drives are available.
Verify that using-system procedures ensure that the power system
switches on power to all the disk drives before, or when, it switches on
the power to the using system.
32. (from step 31)
Was SRN 46000 logged, but no error found, when diagnostics were run in
System Verification mode?
NO Go to step 33 on page 472.
YES An array was in the Offline state, but is now available.
Verify that using-system procedures ensure that the power system
switches on power to all the disk drives before, or when, it switches on
the power to the using system.
