Label Identification
The following information is applicable to the Model 1205, 1210 and 1260 MFD units
installed in the United States of America.
This equipment complies with part 68 of FCC rules. On the back panel of this equipment is
a label that contains, among other information, the FCC Registration Number and Ringer
Equivalence Number (REN) for this equipment. If requested, provide this information to
your telephone company. The REN for these units is 0.7B.
The REN is useful to determine the quantity of devices you may connect to your telephone
line and still have all of those devices ring when your number is called. In most, but not all
areas, the sum of the REN's of all devices connected to one line should not exceed five (5.0).
To be certain of the number of devices you may connect to your line, as determined by the
REN, you should contact your local telephone company to determine the maximum REN for
your calling area.
Type Of Service
The Model 2001 and 2002s are designed for use on standard device telephone lines.
Connection to coin service provided by the telephone company (central office implemented
systems) is prohibited. Connection to party line service is subject to state tariffs.
Telephone Company Procedures
The goal of the telephone company is to provide you with the best service it can. To do this,
it may occasionally be necessary for them to make changes in their equipment, operation, or
procedures. If these changes might affect your service or the operation of your equipment,
the telephone company will give you notice, in writing, to allow you to make the changes
necessary to maintain uninterrupted service.
If you have any questions about your telephone line, such as how many pieces of equipment
you can connect to it, the telephone company will provide this information upon request.
In certain circumstances, it may be necessary for the telephone company to request
information from you concerning the equipment which you have connected to your
telephone line. Upon request of the telephone company, provide the FCC registration
number and the Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) of the equipment which is connected to
your line. Both of these items are listed on the label on the back of the unit. The sum of all
the REN's on your telephone lines should be less than five in order to assure proper service
from the telephone company. In some cases, the sum of five may not be usable on a given
line.
The Telephone Customer Protection Act of 1991 makes it unlawful for any person to use a
computer or other electronic device to send any message via a telephone fax machine unless
such message clearly contains in a margin at the top or bottom of each transmitted page or
on the first page of the transmission, the date and time it is sent and an identification of the
business or other entity, or other individual sending the message, and the telephone number
