Relay Initiate
Relay TX allows the operator to make one long distance call to a remote unit and the
remote unit will relay the message to one or more fax units in the local area. With this
function, you can save valuable time and telephone charges. This function can also
instruct the remote fax machine to send an activity report to one of its One-Touch or Speed
Dial location.
Note: If no One-Touch or Speed Dial Keys were set up, no reports will be
generated.
Procedure
1
Select the Original Type, Resolution if necessary
and place your document in the Document Feeder
face down.

Press the FUNCTION Key and press 7 to select the
Relay Initiate menu.

The following messages appear briefly to confirm
your selection.

Enter the One-Touch key of the remote fax unit or
enter the phone of the remote unit manually and
press YES.

The name or telephone number associated with the
One-Touch appears to confirm this is the location
you intended to poll. Press YES to accept or NO to
enter a new location.

Using the 10-Key Pad, enter the two digit One-
Touch number in the remote fax machine that
represents the end locations you wish to transmit
to.

Using the 10-Key Pad, enter the two digit Speed
Dial number in the remote fax machine that
represents the fax unit that should receive the TX
Results Report.

Press START to begin transmitting. Your document is scanned into memory and
sent to the Relay location.
