OF Action
The IEEE 1284 interface is faster and more versatile than Centronics and
supports bidirectional communication. Chapter 5 discusses the available modes
(Compatibility, Nibble, and Byte) in more detail. Configuration of this interface is
controlled from the host.
Prime Signal
Determines whether the parallel port will perform a warm start (a reboot) if the
host asserts the Prime Signal.
• Enable (a warm start will occur)
• Disable (a warm start will not occur)
TOF Action
TOF (Top-of-Form) Action determines whether or not a form feed is performed
before a warm start when the prime signal is asserted from the host. This setting
is used only if the Prime Signal parameter is enabled.
• Reset (form feed on reset)
• None (no form feed on reset)
Buffer Size in K
This option configures the amount of memory allocated for the IEEE 1284 parallel
port buffer
. Y
ou can specify between 1 and 16 Kbytes, in 1–Kbyte increments.
