Storing a Number Using the One-touch Dial
Buttons on the E-mail Keyboard

Make sure that the machine is in the fax idle mode. If
necessary, press
Fax
to enter the fax idle mode.

Enter the number you want to store by using the number
keypad and then press the one-touch dial button on the E-
mail keyboard.
Or, press and hold the one-touch dial button you want to
and enter the number.

Enter
to save the number.

To assign a name to the number, enter the desired name
using the E-mail keyboard.
Or,
If you do not want to assign a name, skip this step.

Press
Enter
when the name appears correctly or without
entering a name.

To store more telephone numbers, repeat steps 2 through
3.
Or
To return to Standby mode, press
Stop/Clear
.
Sending a Fax using a One-Touch Number

Load the document you want to send in the Duplex
Automatic Document Feeder (DADF) or on the scan glass.
See “Loading Document(s) for Faxing” on page 2.3.

Make sure that the machine is in the fax idle mode. If
necessary, press
Fax
to enter the fax idle mode.

You can use
Resolution

Original Type

Darkness
and/or
Duplex
to choose the appropriate sending condition for the
document. For details, see “Adjusting the Document
Settings” on page 2.6.

Press the one-touch dial button where you stored a number.
