Ring Delay The number of telephone rings before the machine answers a call in Fax/Tel (F/T) or
Fax Only Mode.
Ring Volume Volume setting for the machines ring.
Scanning The process of sending an electronic image of an original paper document into your
computer.

received faxes and scanned image.
Search You can search for names you have stored in Speed Dial memories.
Speed dial A preprogrammed number for easy dialling. You must press the Search/Speed Dial
key and #, then two digit code to start the dialling process.
Standard resolution 98 × 203 dpi. It is used for regular size text and quickest transmission.
Station ID The stored information that appears on the top of faxed pages. It includes the senders
name and fax number.
Super fine resolution 392 × 203 dpi. Best for very small print and line art.
System Setup List A printed report that shows the current setting of the machine.
Temporary Setting You can select certain options for each fax transmission or copy without
changing the default settings.
Timer (Not available for Colour fax) A feature that lets you program a fax to go out at a certain
time, such as Delayed Fax or Delayed Polling Receive.
Tone A form of dialling on the telephone line used for Touch Tone telephones.
Transmission The process of sending documents over the phone lines from the machine to the
receiving fax machine.
Xmit Report (Transmission Report) A listing of each transmission, showing caller ID, date, time,
and number of pages.
