Basic Send and Receive Methods
IMPORTANT
•
You can directly send a document of two or more pages only when using the feeder. You
can only send one page at a time when you place your original on the platen glass.
•
You can specify only one destination at a time when using Direct Sending.
•
If an error occurs or you cancel transmission in the Direct Sending mode, you can check
how many pages have been sent to the destination by printing an Activity Report, or on
the Log screen for Fax on the System Monitor screen.
•
If you cancel Direct Sending during transmission, the originals that have already been
scanned are sent.

Place your originals.
NOTE
For instructions on placing your originals, see "Placing Originals," on p. 1-34.

Make sure the machine is ready to send ➞ press [Direct].
A check mark ( ) appears in the box to the left of [Direct].
NOTE
If you want to cancel Direct Sending, press [Direct] again.

Select the desired send settings.
