Installing a Slot Cover
This section describes how to install a slot cover in the Cisco CRS-1 8-slot line card chassis. The chassis
is shipped with slot covers over the switch fabric card and RP card slots; we advise installing slot covers
over any empty slots in the chassis. Both slot cover types are installed in the same manner. (
Figure 4-12
shows a switch fabric slot cover for reference.) For more detailed information on the slot covers, see the
“Information About Impedance Carriers and Slot Covers” section on page 4-6.
